Alexa is a classically trained singer, dancer, and actress residing in the Southern New Jersey area. She is a freshman at Paul VI High School in Haddonfield, NJ. From the time Alexa stepped on the stage at age 6, she was hooked and can’t imagine life without theater and the performing arts!
Currently, Alexa is playing the role of Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins at Paul VI High School in Haddonfield, New Jersey, and can be seen there February 23rd, 24th, 25th & March 2nd, 3rd.
Alexa was honored to perform as Meredith Mitchell in the NYMF production of Peace, Love, and Cupcakes: The Musical this past summer at the Acorn Theatre on 42nd Street. She is thrilled that the show is working in conjunction with nobully.org.
She is the 2016 winner of the Hal Leonard National Vocal Competition for Musical Theatre and performs in various theatre, cabaret, and dance productions in the NYC and Philadelphia area. She has performed for the New York Pops Annual Birthday Gala at Carnegie Hall, as well as with the Broadway Dreams Foundation at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. Other stage performances include Parade (Mary Phagan), Number the Stars(Annemarie), Les Miserables (Little Cosette), Honk! (Ida) and Once Upon a Mattress (Lady Larken).
As a dancer, Alexa has been performing in full length ballets since she was 7. She performs in the company for the South Jersey Ballet’s Annual Nutcracker, as well as with the Next Stage Dance Company and the annual Project Dance. Alexa has been training in ballet since the age of 3 and has been en pointe since age 10. She also enjoys jazz, modern, tap and hip hop.
Alexa is a supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of her grandmother, who suffers from the disease. She proudly participates in their yearly walks and fundraisers. Alexa also adores children and often performs as a princess for community gatherings, parades and birthday parties. She loves to see the joy and wonder in their eyes!
